Song Kang Shares His Thoughts about His New Drama ‘Sweet Home’
South Korean actor Song Kang sat down with Marie Claire Korea and talked about his new drama "Sweet Home" and shared his habits and many more!
As of the moment, Song Kang is busy filming his new tvN drama "Navillera." He will star as a young man in the drama that will create a new friendship with an older man over ballet. The actor recently finished filming for two other projects, the series "Sweet Home" and "Love Alarm 2," He is excited to see how these dramas would turn out.
In his interview with Marie Claire, the actor expressed that he is always thinking about his performance in his projects, if there were any parts that he didn't act out well or whether he was able to showcase the character's emotions well in the drama. And since "Sweet Home" will be premiering very soon, Song Kang shared that he is very curious about how it will turn out since most of the time, the show uses CGI, and he often performed most of his scenes looking at a green screen.
With regards to this, the actor shared that it was quite hard for him to act with the green screen. However, the occasional use of real makeup and the realistic set helped him a lot. Song Kang said that the set was amazing that he even arrives at the location 20 to 30 minutes earlier and just hang out there and letting himself immerse into the story.

Then, Song Kang was asked what makes him excited. He responded, claiming that he likes hanging around on set. And when he's there, he forgets that he's tired and automatically gets into a good mood so that he would run around on his own.
Also, during the interview, Song Kang shared that he needs his alone time. He said that he's been putting his phone on silent mode because he doesn't want to get distracted, and it has become his habit now. Without his "alone time," he gets much stressed.
The actor also shared that lately, he has been interested in reading books because it distracts him from thinking about anything. He shared that he's very into mystery novels and reads them before he goes to sleep. This is one thing that he considers as a relaxation.
Song Kang further explained that he enjoys reading, then he forgets everything once the book is closed. When he first started living independently in Seoul, he would usually watch tv but would usually wake up in the morning with a headache. Instead of watching tv, he started leaving a meditation app on or reading before going to sleep, which resulted in him feeling light and happy in the morning. That is how he ended up getting into the habit of reading.
He concluded the interview by recommending the book "A Stranger in the House" by Shari Lapena.
Song Kang will be returning on the small screen soon through the drama series "Sweet Home," scheduled to premiere on Dec. 18.
