Fans are excited to hear the news that OCN's "The Uncanny Counter" might have a second season!

On Dec. 23, different media outlets released reports that OCN's "The Uncanny Counter" is currently in the process of checking the available schedule of its main cast to film their second season. One source stated that initially, the production team didn't discuss the drama becoming a seasonal series, so they had to think about and also consider numerous things.

One huge factor was the availability of its main cast, so they had to consider checking their schedule as early as possible. As of the moment, the drama's crew is inquiring about the probability of filming for the drama's second season in September 2021 and broadcasting it in the first half of 2022.

Upon hearing the news, OCN responded through news media outlets and commented that they are now in the process of turning the drama into a seasonal series. But, since this was just decided, the production details and the filming schedule have not yet been decided.

"The Uncanny Counter" is a remake drama of a webtoon, and it is about a group of people each with special abilities, who call themselves "counters." Their job is to hunt and take down demons that have come to Earth to pursue eternal life. These demon hunters disguise themselves as employees of a noodle restaurant.

The series stars talented actors Jo Byeong Gyu, Yoo Joon Sang, Gugudan's Kim Sejeong, and Yeom Hye Ran.

Jo Byeong Gyu plays the character of So Mun, a highschool student who is considered the youngest member of the group. His special ability is physical strength. When he was young, he was involved in a suspicious car accident, that unfortunately killed both of his parents. His left leg was also permanently limped due to it.

Yoo Joon Sang stars as Ga Mo Tak, a former police officer. He was also involved in an accident 7 years ago, and he acquired amnesia due to that accident. He is a righteous man. 

Kim Se Jeong plays the character of Do Ha Na who special ability is to sense evil spirits from afar, even hundreds of kilometers away. She is also able to read someone's memories through touch. 

While, Yeom Hye Ran portrays the character of Chu Mae Ok, the noodle restaurant chef! She is known as the anchor of "Counter." 

Meanwhile, Ahn Suk Hwan plays the character of Choi Jang Mool, the first "Counter" of Korea. He is responsible for managing expenses for the group.

The drama is helmed by Director Yoo Sun Dong who previously directed Vampire Prosecutor 2 and penned by writer Jang Yi (webcomic) and Yeo Ji-Na. "The Uncanny Counter" recently made history after recording the highest ratings in OCN history. The drama airs every Saturday and Sunday at 10:30 p.m. KST. You can also watch it on Netflix!
