Fans are thrilled to know that after a very long hiatus, actress Lee Young Ae is confirmed to star as the main lead of an upcoming thriller and comedy-drama series with a "Koo Kyung."
Details of Lee Young Ae's Upcoming Drama "Koo Kyung"
Thriller and comedy series "Koo Kyung" tells a story about two women. One is an insurance inspector named Koo Kyung, portrayed by actress Lee Young Ae, who used to work as a police officer. Her passion and wits for cracking unsolved and cold cases allowed her to become an insurance investigator in her forties.
The other is a dark serial killer on the run who hides behind a hip, colorful and trendy persona. "Koo Kyung" is said to be Korea's take on the British thriller "Killing Eve," which stars Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer.
The upcoming drama series will be produced by KeyEast. The script will be penned by a talented writer known as Sung Cho Yi. PD Lee Jeong Heum is recognized for his works in "Falsify" (2017) and "Nobody Knows" (2020), and he will also be the one to direct the whole drama series with collaboration from Leaders Group 8.
According to KeyEast, the thriller comedy-drama series will start its production this June, but a lot of information about the filming has not been revealed yet.
