Song Joong Ki Criticized Over Safety Issues Regarding His Luxurious Itaewon Property
Song Joong Ki faced a challenging situation over his property located in Itaewon.
The 35-year-old heartthrob invested in several real estate properties, which includes the massive house in the affluent neighborhood in Seoul.
Did Song Joong Ki Ignore Safety Issues?
In a report cited by a South Korean outlet, the "Vincenzo" actor has found himself in the middle of controversy after local residents accused him of "neglecting safety issues."
It came after more than 50 residents have complained over the construction of his luxury house, saying that the A-lister "has neglected the construction noise and safety issues and can no longer be seen."
The "Descendants of the Sun" star reportedly acquired the house in 2017 and started new construction in February 2020.
Given that the property has been under development for over a year, local residents pointed out that Song Joong Ki's camp should restore the road pavement to its original state.
Back in December 2020, the team who handled the construction adjusted the slope of the road to suit the height of the parking lot on Song Joong Ki's property.
These changes have resulted in extensive road damage that created a sharp slope, estimated at 30 to 50 centimeters higher than before.
Moreover, it also brought inconvenience to the neighborhood that resulted in traffic.
Based on the report, one resident complained that the area has been dangerous after the narrow roads became steep, causing inconvenience to several cars.
The same goes for an individual who reportedly called out the noise from the ongoing construction.
Meanwhile, Yongsan's office revealed that they previously advised the team to wrap up the construction sometime in June; unfortunately, they were told that it would take "measures before the completion of the project."

Song Joong Ki's Agency Speaks Out Amid the Issue
Amid his issue with his Itaewon property, Song Joong Ki's agency, History D&C Entertainment, addresses the conflict.
The management explained that they are "well aware of various complaints" and vowed to "correct them as soon as possible."

To recall, the 34-year-old South Korean heartthrob reportedly acquired a luxurious property in January 2017, which costs a whopping $8.9 million or 10 billion won.
The two-story property located in Itaewon, Seoul, boasted 602 square meters of land.
At the time, rumor sparked that the mansion was Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo's marital home.
Unfortunately, after the power couple's shocking divorce in September 2018, several South Korean media outlets claimed that the property is set to be torn down and will rebuild with a new home.
Song Joong Ki's new luxurious mansion is said to have two stories with three underground levels.
In addition, other reports noted that the property is still under Song Joong Ki's name.
Aside from the controversial property, the "Space Sweepers" star owns a villa located in Seoul, which is reportedly worth $2.2 million or approximately 2.5 billion won.
