Dating among idols is not a surprise, but on New Year's Day of the year 2016, news tabloid Dispatch reported that EXID Hani and JYJ Junsu were happily dating.
According to Dispatch, the two have liked each other for a few months but finally made it official on New Year's Day.
The JYJ member made the first move of asking the beautiful idol actress out, despite their five-year age gap.
Reportedly, the two have been each other's fans for quite a while, which resulted in a closer relationship where the two got to know one another.
Dispatch first revealed their photos on December 1 of the previous year at Junsu's car parked in Han River.

Hani and Junsu were also seen spending time together in October and November, where Junsu accommodated Hani's busy roster when she was still actively promoting with her group. The two would also spend holidays together.
However, like most idol romances, their affair was short-lived. On September 13 of the same year, it was reported that EXID Hani and JYJ Junsu had broken up due to individual busy schedules, which Hani's agency, Banana Culture, confirmed.

In September 2021, EXID Hani and her "You Raise Me Up" co-star Yoon Si Yoon appeared as guests in the SBS Power FM radio show "2 O'Clock Escape Cultwo Show", where Hani was asked about her first love.
Hani happily answered, surprising everyone by saying, "I'm still in touch with my first love. He recently appeared on television, too."
The "You Raise Me Up" actress then shared that her first love was Olympic triathlete Heo Min Ho, who recently appeared on the JTBC sports variety show "Let's Play Soccer Together 2".
Hani shared, "I used to like him when I was really young. He was so cool when we were playing soccer together," she added, "I once knitted a scarf and gave it to him as a gift. "
On the other hand, triathlete Heo Min Ho also talked about the idol actress during his appearance in the sports show, sharing how the two spent their time together as children.
He shared, "I remember accidentally hitting her face with the soccer ball that I kicked, which gave her a small scar on the face. She panicked and then asked me, "What are you going to do if I wouldn't be able to get married?"
The confession elicited laughter from the hosts as well as his co-guests, Heo Min Ho added, "I told her that I'd take responsibility." So I told her that I'd take responsibility."
