The K-series has once again proven its reign as "Squid Game," "My Name," and "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha" were among Netflix's top 10 TV shows worldwide. 

After the massive popularity of the nine-episode Kdrama starring Lee Jung Jae and Park Hae Soon, two other top-rating Korean series made its global success. 

'Squid Game,' 'My Name' and 'Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha' Secured a Spot in Netflix's Top TV Shows 

According to the ranking site flixpatrol.com, the survival game theme series still leads the top tv shows dated October 24, with a total score of 782 points.

To recall, after its grand premiere, "Squid Game" is hailed as the number one show in 92 countries and even surpassed the achievement of "Sweet Home" and the Spanish series "Money Heist."

Interestingly, its standing is quite close to the third season of the American psychological thriller series "You" after garnering 720 points. 

Meanwhile, Han So Hee's new drama "My Name" landed on the top 5 with a total of 424 points.

On the other hand, the beloved healing Kdrama "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha" starring dimple couple Kim Seon Ho and Shin Min Ah made it to the top 9 with 127 points.

Will 'My Name,' 'Squid Game,' and 'Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha' Return for Season 2?

Amid the public's demand for these Kdramas to return for another season, as of this writing, their respective teams and officials have not expressed possibilities of releasing a sequel. 

In his interview with Vulture, PD Hwang Dong Hyuk gets honest and says that he "doesn't have well-developed plans for Squid Game 2," adding, "It is quite tiring just thinking about it."

However, if given a chance, he would like to work with it and would "consider using a writers' room" with "multiple experienced directors."

As for the action-packed K-series, "My Name" director Kim Jin Min shared that screenwriter Kim Ba Da is not planning to create a sequel at the moment.

However, the decision for another season depends on "Netflix, writers, and production companies."

Life After the 'Squid Game' Craze

Following the huge fame of the Netflix series worldwide, the "Squid Game" cast reaped the success of the K-series with interviews left and right, increasing the growth of social media followers and a slew of offers for upcoming projects. 

First off, from 400,000 Jung Ho Yeon's Instagram hit 22.3 million followers and is now hailed as the most followed Korean actress. Interestingly, she also became Adidas and Louis Vuitton's newest global ambassador. 

The same goes for Wi Ha Joon, who now rakes 9 million Instagram followers and graced men's Health magazine Korea. 

As for the lead stars Park Hae Soo and Lee Jung Jae, the actors have launched their own Instagram account to update fans with the current and upcoming projects.
