Goo Ja Sung To Star in the Upcoming Romance Melodrama 'Sponsor'
The new Monday and Tuesday drama "Sponsor," directed by director Lee Chul and penned by scriptwriter Han Hee Jung, follows the story of insatiable women and men who will do anything to get what they want in life.
In the drama, Goo Ja Sung plays the role of Hyun Seung Hoon, a man born poor but takes one step forward to achieve his dreams and become a model.
According to the actor, he was surprised by the intense and fast-paced development in the drama, which urged him into doing the drama.

He also said that his landed role was the most realistic character in the drama. Despite his unrivaled looks and proud exterior, Hyun Seung Hoon has a fragile heart. Behind his picture-perfect life, he struggles to find a cure for his son's helpless disease.
"Since Seung Hoon is a character I've never played before. Being a model who struggles to provide for his family, and a father at that. I wanted to try it. It's like a challenge," the actors said, raising expectations.
Goo Ja Sung's Worries On His New Drama
The actor admitted that the drama was definitely a challenge for him. He also pinpointed the differences between him and his character, Hyun Seung Hoon.
"I am not married, and I also don't have any children. It's the very first thing that separates me and Hyun Seung Hoon," he said.
"However, when facing a life struggle and situation, Seung Hoon and I try our best to survive so we wouldn't have any regrets in the future."
