‘You’re Beautiful’ Cast Update 2021: Where are Jang Geun Suk, Park Shin Hye, CNBLUE’s Yonghwa, and Lee Hong Ki Now?
"You're Beautiful" is a romance-comedy series that tells the story of Mi Nyu, who disguised herself as a male named Go Mi Nam to be part of the famous boy band A.N.JELL. Her journey started to change as she learned to get along with her bandmates Tae Kyung (Jang Geun Suk), Shin Woo (Jung Yonghwa), and Jeremy (Lee Hong Ki).
Twelve years later, and tons of new K-dramas are already dominating the screens, some fans still feel nostalgic over the drama's OST and cast. To update you about the "You're Beautiful" characters, here are the latest news about them.
Jang Geun Suk
His character as the cold and arrogant vocalist of the band A.N.JELL, captured the viewers' hearts with Jang Geun Suk's strong presence and charms on screen. The singer-actor immediately worked on his next romance drama in 2010 in "Mary Me! Mary" and "Love Rain" with SNSD's YoonA in 2012. He teamed up with IU in the drama "Bel Ami" in 2013. Three years later, Jang Geun Suk played the role of Baek Dae Gil in SBS' "The Royal Gambler" with Yeo Jin Goo.
His latest series was "Switch" in 2018. In August, fans rejoiced when various media reported that Jang Geun Suk will finally make his small screen comeback with Kakao TV's "Country Diary by Chance" also known as "Accidental Country Diary" with SNSD's Sooyoung. But then in September the drama's production got canceled due to some circumstances.
Park Shin Hye
Park Shin Hye started to build her name through "You're Beautiful." As her first female lead role, the actress became one of the in demand leading ladies in Kdramas.
She worked again with Jung Yong Hwa in "Heartstrings," and teamed up with the hottest leading men namely Lee Min Ho ("The Heirs"), Lee Jong Suk ("Pinocchio"), Kim Rae Won ("Doctors"), and Hyun Bin ("Memories of the Alhambra"). Apart from series, Park Shin Hye also flourished her career in participating in movies like "Miracle in Cell No.7" and "#Alive."
Her recent drama was "Sisyphus: The Myth" that concluded last April. Park Shin Hye is now on hiatus after announcing that she is pregnant with her first child and is preparing for her wedding with actor and longtime boyfriend Choi Tae Joon.

Jung Yonghwa
Idol-actor Jung Yonghwa bagged his first New Star Award in "You're Beautiful" as a recognition for his performance as a new evolving artist. From being a second lead, Yonghwa immediately starred in MBC's romance series "Heartstrings" with Park Shin Hye.
In 2013, he collaborated with Yoon Eun Hye and Lee Dong Gun for the first time with "Marry Him If You Dare." "The Three Musketeers" and "The Package" were the last dramas of Yonghwa before he enlisted in the military last 2018 and was discharged in 2019.
Yonghwa focused on producing music with his members and later on made a decision to make his small screen comeback with mystery-fantasy drama "Sell Your Haunted House" in April where he teamed up with versatile actress Jang Nara.
Lee Hong Ki
Just like Jung Yonghwa, Lee Hong Ki is an idol and actor who enjoys both industries. After his drama debut with "You're Beautiful," Hong Ki landed his next role in 2011 series "Muscle Girl" followed by "Bride of the Century" and "Modern Farmer" in 2014, "A Korean Odyssey" in 2017 and his latest drama was "Melting Me Softly" that aired in 2019.
Lee Hong Ki is busy now in producing music and has been active in various variety and radio shows as host.
