Park So Dam Greet Fans for the New Year Following Her Thyroid Cancer Surgery
Park So Dam took to social media to update fans about her current situation.
In December 2021, fans were stunned to hear that the 30-year-old actress was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and had to undergo surgery.
Due to this, she had to skip promotional activities and focus on her recovery.
Park So Dam's Instagram Featured a Handwritten Note for Fans
Interestingly, the "Parasite" star welcomed the year positively.
On Park So Dam's Instagram, she posted a handwritten letter greeting fans on New Year.
"Greetings, this is Park So Dam. The four seasons have passed and the cold winter has come again and I feel it is telling us that we must start a new year again. You've worked really, really worked hard in 2021," she wrote.
Moreover, she also took the opportunity to invite everyone to watch her new film "Special Delivery."
"I hope that happiness is specially delivered to you in 2022 with 'Special Delivery.' Hope you have a happy year. Also, let us be healthy in both mind and body. I wish the time when I can express my heart face to face comes fast," she added.
Capping off the heartfelt message, the actress says she misses her fans and wishes them a "blessed New Year."
Park So Dam's papillary thyroid cancer diagnosis was revealed by her agency, Artist Company, saying that the actress learned about her illness after her regular health check and was advised by the doctors to undergo surgery.
At the same time, the label also confirmed that she would miss the promotion activities for "Special Delivery" due to the time of recovery.

'Special Delivery' Director Praises Park So Dam + Revealed Why He Cast the 'Parasite' Star
Interestingly, during the movie's press conference ahead of the premiere, the director and screenwriter Park Dae Min shared why he cast the 30-year-old actress.
He mentioned that he was a fan of Park So Dam and believed she could slay her first-ever action movie.
"This is her first action feature, and she has the power to make everything believable," the director added.
"Special Delivery" follows the story of a delivery driver Eun Ha, played by the actress and her mission to transport cargos that cannot be delivered legally.
However, she got a special task: to deliver a young boy named Seo Won, portrayed by Jung Hyeon Jun, to a criminal organization.
Due to her instinct, she decides to abort the mission and save the boy but becomes the new target of the group.
Interestingly, Park So Dam and the child actor appeared in the Oscar-winning film "Parasite."
While the actress took on the role of art tutor Kim Gi Jeong a.k.a Jessica, Jung Hyeon Jun played the Park family's youngest son, Park Da Song.
