Love All Play Viewership Rating

"Love All Play," starring Chae Jong Hyeop and Park Ju Hyun, continues to plummet. As the sports-themed weekend series airs its fourth episode, the K-drama sees a downward trend in viewership rating.

As cited by Nielsen Korea, "Love All Play" episode 4 garnered an average nationwide of 1.5 percent, marking its all-time low viewership.

Meanwhile, its competitor "Green Mother's Club" scored an all-time high viewership rating of 4.3 percent. It is definitely a massive increase from its premiere rating of 2.5 percent.

The Chae Jong Hyeop and Park Ju Hyun-led K-drama grapples with maintaining its rating as the series progresses.

To recall, the pilot episode garnered an average nationwide rating of 1.9 percent, followed by a slight dip for episode 2 with 1.8 ratings. Unfortunately, the series continues to show decreasing viewership after hitting a 1.7 nationwide rating for episode three.

If "Love All Play" sustains a downward trend, the weekend series will hit zero-rating in the coming episode.

Helmed by the "Miracle that We Met" and "Justice" director Jo Woong alongside screenwriter Heo Sung Hye, who penned "Tomorrow with Hyo" and "Dream High 2," the newest sports-themed series follows the story of badminton athletes who struggles with their personal life and challenges at the court.

From being the second lead, Chae Jong Hyeop becomes the lead star in "Love All Play," portraying the role of skilled athlete Park Tae Joon, who is driven by the perks and salary that come as an athlete.

Meanwhile, female lead Park Ju Hyun took on the role of Park Tae Yang, a once known badminton prodigy whose career was tainted by a scandal.

In the drama, the "smash queen" got involved in a bribery controversy, which prompted her to leave the sport for three years.

Fortunately, she was able to return to the court but endured harsh criticisms from her teammate. Thankfully, she met Tae Joon, who made everything bearable for her.

In "Love All Play" episode 4, the drama focuses on the reason behind Tae Yang's hiatus.

To recall, the third episode revealed that her older sister got in an accident, resulting in her time off as an athlete as she had to undergo therapy.

It is also the reason why Yook Jung Hwan, played by Kim Moo Joon, despises Tae Yang. As featured in the episode, he is the lover of Park Yang's older sister.

On the other hand, the latest episode also showed Park Tae Yang and Park Tae Joon's first competition as mixed doubles partners.

Despite the drama's dwindling ratings, it is safe to say that "Love All Play" serves as a breather from other dramas that revolves around romance and revenge.

Interestingly, the "Love All Play" episode 5 release date is set for May 4 via KBS2 and Disney+.
