In a previous interview obtained by a media outlet, the actor-director admitted that it was challenging "both physically and mentally" to create the espionage action movie while filming Netflix's "Squid Game."

However, his drive and vision for the film motivate him to push and start "Hunt."

"I thought it was a waste to not do it, so I even started directing it," he said, adding, "However, if I put a historical motif like this, I was afraid that the criticism would have a bad effect on my career if I made a mistake. I thought the subject that could be covered was the 80s."

Besides the continued success of the movie, Lee Jung Jae is also reprising his role in "Squid Game 2" with Lee Byung Hun and Gong Yoo.
