The foreign affairs department of Vietnam expressed their distaste for the work as it allegedly distorted the history of the Vietnam War.

During the premiere of episodes 3 and 8, Vietnam filed a petition to pull out the drama from its broadcast on Netflix, a huge platform serving over 100 countries online.
Vietnam also claimed that "Little Women" has tainted the reputation of the country, aside from its alleged historical distortion.
The administration is still waiting for the response of the production unit, especially now that "Little Women" is about to conclude its broadcast.
As for Netflix, the legal team of the online streaming platform has not responded to the request of the Vietnam administration.
