From ‘Vincenzo’ to ‘Reborn Rich,’ Jo Han Chul in Talks to Join Song Joong Ki in ‘Ro Ki Wan’

Jo Han Chul might be reuniting with Song Joong Ki for the third time.

After two blockbuster K-dramas, the versatile actor is in talks to join the cast of the upcoming movie "Ro Ki Wan."

Jo Han Chul Courted to Work With Song Joong in 'Ro Ki Wan'

According to the report, Jo Han Chul's agency Noon Company confirmed that the actor has offered to play a role in Song Joong Ki's new movie and is positively considering the part.

Moreover, it is also reported that he is coordinating his schedule after receiving the casting offer. However, as for his possible character, there is no statement yet.

Interestingly, if Jo Han Chul officially accepts the offer, this will be the third time that he will be working with top star Song Joong Ki.

'Ro Ki Wan' Cast, Release Date

Based on the novel "Meeting Ro Ki-wan," the film adaptation will center around a young man who illegally traveled to Belgium and escaped North Hamgyong Province in North Korea after a broadcasting writer wanted to locate him.

In the upcoming film, Song Joong Ki is courted to portray the North Korean defector.

Apart from Jo Han Chul, rookie actress Choi Sung Eun, who also headlined "Beyond Evil," is also reportedly joining as the lead star.

To recall, it was in 2017 when Song Joong Ki's appearance was first reported but his then-agency, Blossom Entertainment, denied the reports saying that he is "considering a variety of projects" at the time but the novel-based film is not one of them.

As for the release date, officials are yet to confirm their target premiere date. The same goes for the start of the dama's production which is set after the cast lineup has been confirmed.

Jo Han Chul New K-Dramas You Should Anticipate

While Jo Han Chul is in talks to join the cast of Song Joong Ki's movie, he recently appeared in the hit K-drama, "Reborn Rich."

Led by Song Joong Ki and veteran actor Lee Sung Min, the webtoon-based drama series is among the 2022 K-dramas that made a mark on viewers.

As for Jo Han Chul's appearance, he took the role of antagonist Jin Dong Ki, the second-born son of Soonyang Group founder Jin Yang Chul, played by Lee Sung Min.

Interestingly, besides the offer for "Ro Ki Wan," he will be also joining the cast of "Gyeongseong Creature" seasons 1 and 2 starring Park Seo Joon and Han So Hee.

Adding to the list of his upcoming project is the series "Stealer: Seven Joseon Notices" with Lee Joo Woo and "Carter" star Joo Won.
