Lee Da In finally returns to the small screen after three years with the forthcoming romance drama "Lovers"!

The actress was last seen in the sci-fi thriller series "Alice," and is now ready to take on the challenge of a new romance project opposite actors Namgoong Min and Ahn Eun Jin.

Lee Da In Confirmed To Star In Namgoong Min's 'Lovers'

Three years after her last drama, Lee Da In returns to prime time with the forthcoming MBC romance series "Lovers"!

On January 26, Lee Da In's agency, 9Ato Entertainment, announced that the actress has reviewed and confirmed her participation in the new MBC romantic series.

"Lovers" tells the story of people who find romance amidst the psychological warfare brought by the Qing invasion during the Joseon period.

In the series, Lee Da In takes on the role of Kyung Eun Ae, a woman who seeks romance to fulfill her dream of becoming a loving housewife.

She will decorate the small screen with Namgoong Min, who will transform into Lee Jang Hyun, a mysterious man who possesses a dark secret that can't be revealed to anyone.

In particular, "Lovers" marks Lee Da In and Namgoong Min's reunification after working together in "Doctor Prisoner" in 2019, raising excitement about the two stars' chemistry.

With her impressive performances in her previous works, expectations are raised as to what kind of image she will portray in her new work, and how she will showcase her strong points as an actress.

Ahn Eun Jin & Lee Hak Joo To Complete 'Lovers' Main Ensemble

Apart from the two, the main cast of "Lovers" wouldn't be complete without Ahn Eun Jin and Lee Hak Joo.

Ahn Eun Jin, who's known for her roles in "Hospital Playlist" and "The One and Only," will play the role of Yoo Gil Chae, a delicate woman who comes from a noble family.

She is Kyung Eun Ae's only friend in their place. Meanwhile, Lee Hak Joo takes on the role of Nam Yeon Jun, a promising Confucian student with a gallant personality.

Together, the quarter vows to do anything to maintain the peace and romance in the air amidst the Qing invasion in the Joseon era.

In addition to that, the drama will also highlight the growth and development of each character throughout the broadcast, giving the viewers resonance and entertainment.

'Lovers' K-drama Details and Release Date

The new MBC romance drama is helmed by director Kim Seong Yong and screenwriter Hwang Jin Young, who flaunted their skills through Namgoong Min's espionage work "The Veil."
