It was after the renowned filmmaker got involved in a bullying incident that happened during his high school years.

As obtained by a media outlet, Netflix released a commentary video for "The Glory" season 2 attended by cast members Park Sung Hoon, Jung Sung Il, Cha Joo Young, Kim Hieora, Kim Gun Woo, and screenwriter Kim Eun Sook.

In a five-minute video, the director was only spotted in the group shot, wearing an all-black outfit and a hat.

He was beside Kim Hieora and Cha Joo Young but as the cast members

and writer each had individual shots, Netflix edited out his solo shot and only his voice could be heard.

In addition, Ahn Gil Ho's name was also not included in the credits.

At the height of the popularity of "The Glory" season 2, the renowned filmmaker, who is behind the hit K-dramas "Memories of the Alhambra," "Record of Youth" and "Happiness" was criticized after he gets embroiled in school bullying allegations.

It was after a post circulated online, claiming that the uploader and his friends were a victim of bullying by Ahn Gil Ho.

The person accused the filmmaker of physically assaulting and threatening him and his classmates, who are attending an international school in the Philippines.

At the time, the uploader admitted that they were teasing Ahn Gil Ho's then-girlfriend but got stunned by the director's actions.

As obtained by a media outlet, the person pointed out that he didn't "want to cause controversy" since the director is doing well in the entertainment industry.

However, what pushed him to expose Ahn Gil Ho's past is because of how he managed to direct "The Glory" which centers around bullying and school violence when in fact, he is a perpetrator himself.

Moreover, the uploader also warned the controversial director of releasing more receipts if he chose to deny the allegations.

At the time, Studio Dragon, the production company behind "The Glory" said that they "will look into the incident."

Although it took some time for Ahn Gil Ho to release a statement and initially denied the accusations against him.

He admitted that he studied in the Philippines for a year but insists that he has "never been involved in any physical conflicts with Korean students."

Shortly after denying the accusations, the director confessed of physically assaulting a fellow student during high school.

In a news obtained by a media outlet, Ahn Gil Ho's legal counsel Jipyong, the director recalled that he was only protecting his then-girlfriend and "got emotional, giving unforgettable wound to other people."

Due to this, he expressed his deepest apology, adding that he wanted to personally meet or communicate "to convey his apology to those affected."
