Fans might see Woo Do Hwan and Lee Yoo Mi in a romantic drama together this 2023 after the two were offered to star in "Mr. Plankton"!

Both stars have proved their acting prowess in the past years through "Tempted," "Joseon Attorney," "Squid Game" and "All of Us Are Dead."

Woo Do Hwan & Lee Yoo Mi Offered To Headline New Romance Series

Besides their individual projects, Woo Do Hwan and Lee Yoo Mi might partner up in the forthcoming rom-com series "Mr. Plankton" this year!

On April 14, Key East Entertainment, Woo Do Hwan's agency, confirmed that he received a casting offer for the brand new romance comedy series "Mr. Plankton" (literal title).

The series will follow the stories of people who are on their own, much like a plankton. It will depict the struggles of individuals who are lost because they have no one to rely on.

Woo Do Hwan was offered the role of Hae Jo, a man with an empty heart but has colorful dreams. As he grows older, he wishes to find his people and finally feel belongingness and contentment.

Meanwhile, Lee Yoo Mi has also been offered to appear in the work as Jo Jae Mi, the vivacious young woman and romantic interest of Hae Jo.

The actors' companies have yet to release statements regarding Woo Do Hwan and Lee Yoo Mi's decision. However, fans show their positive feelings and excitement to see the two on their possible first project together.

On the other hand, "Mr. Plankton" will be helmed by "It's Okay to Not Be Okay" writer Cho Yong and "Juvenile Justice" director Hong Jong Chan.

Woo Do Hwan & Lee Yoo Mi's Current, Upcoming Projects

The year is big for both Woo Do Hwan and Lee Yoo Mi!

At the moment, Woo Do Hwan stars as a reliable attorney who works along with the noble princess in the period romance series "Joseon Attorney" with WJSN Bona.

It airs every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 p.m. KST on MBC. In addition to that, Woo Do Hwan's "Bloodhounds" is also slated to greet the viewers within the year.

The series also stars Lee Sang Yi and Park Sung Woong, and it focuses on the trials of three friends who become targets of private loan sharks that bring a huge unknown force.

Netflix will release all eight episodes in the second quarter of the year. On the other hand, Lee Yoo Mi takes on the title role in the upcoming series "Strong Woman Gang Nam Soon."

It is a direct sequel to the 2017 smash hit drama "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon" which was headlined by Park Bo Young and Park Hyung Sik.
