'Secret Woman' Earns Backlash For THESE Reasons
KBS' daily series "Secret Woman," also known as "Woman in Veil," which began airing last March 14, is receiving negative reactions from the viewers.
The K-drama follows the story of a woman, who loses her eyesight and ends up being in a paralyzed state after knowing that her husband has a mistress. The story progresses as she reveals the truth and seeks justice.
It stars Choi Yoon Young, Lee Chae Young, Lee Sun Ho, Han Ki Woong, Shin Go Eun, and Lee Eun Hyung.

"Secret Woman" was already expected to have a similar plot to the previous daily series, but its developments have reportedly gone too excessive. Due to this, the viewers are getting tired of the plot with provoking and controversial topics, such as assault, child abandonment, love affairs, etc.
The drama's rating performance also draws flak and disappointment. It has been said that "Secret Woman" recorded an average score of 10.4 percent in episode 1.
In addition, the drama's current rating chart ranges from 8-10 percent as per Nielsen Korea.

According to a media outlet on April 15, viewers signed the petition calling for the cancellation of "Secret Woman." It was also posted on the KBS Viewer Center's page, which gained more attention from the public.

The people who signed the petition showed their criticisms towards the series' poor developments and provocative materials. Many viewers agree to cancel the drama immediately.
