'The Murderer's Shopping Mall' Confirms Cast Lineup
On May 2, Disney+ raised the tension for the forthcoming suspense horror comedy series "The Murderer's Shopping Mall" after confirming its cast lineup and release date!
The broadcast channel named Hallyu superstar Lee Dong Wook and Kim Hye Joon as its lead stars after the two were reported to take on the roles last year.
On the other hand, "The Murderer's Shopping Mall" serves as a spin-off to the 2022 mystery comedy series "The Murderer's Shopping List" which was led by Lee Kwang Soo and Seolhyun.
Based on Kang Ji Young's novel of the same name, the story follows a young woman who runs a shopping mall with his uncle after her parents face their sorrowful demise.

However, her life takes a darker turn when she gets overwhelmed with painful truths, following her uncle's sudden death.
Lee Dong Wook transforms into uncle Jung Jin, a reputable father figure to his niece and a shopping mall owner. Meanwhile, Kim Hye Joon plays Jung Ji An, an orphan who is deeply loved by her extraordinary uncle.
While Lee Dong Wook has cemented his name as a fan-favorite with his dramas "Goblin," "Bad and Crazy" and more, Kim Hye Joon is slowly building her filmography as a Hallyu actress. She recently worked with Lee Kwang Soo in the disaster comedy film "Sinkhole."
With the success of its predecessor, anticipation is high for the brand new drama. In addition to that, fans are also looking forward to seeing the chemistry between the lead actors who will work together for the first time!
'The Murderer's Shopping Mall' Announces Release Date
Besides confirming the participation of Lee Dong Wook and Kim Hye Joon, Disney+ also announced its release date.
The cable network stated that "The Murderer's Shopping Mall" is slated to be released in the first half of 2024 in South Korea and in the international channels.
Currently, the cast and crew of the series are gearing up for their principal filming with the intention to possibly release it on the target date or even earlier.
"The Murderer's Shopping Mall" is written and directed by "Save Me" creator Lee Kwon and "When Time Stopped" screenwriter Ji Ho Jin.
Moreover, actors Seo Hyun Woo, Park Ji Bin and Kim Hae Na also confirmed their appearances in the series, raising the expectations for the cast ensemble to a whole new level.
