'Doctor Cha' Sees Rise In Ratings Ahead of Finale

The smash hit drama "Doctor Cha" finally heads into its last week of broadcast with ratings rising.

On May 28, the JTBC medical drama released its antepenultimate episode, which took the viewers on an emotional ride as Uhm Jung Hwa's character's pain comes into full circle.

It also gave the viewers an emotional glimpse to Myung Se Bin's character's perspective, the woman who was Kim Byung Chul's Seo In Ho's first love and the same person who wrecked his humble family.

"Doctor Cha" episode 14 received a high score of 18.2%, jumping back into the limelight after falling to a score of 14.4% in its previous episode. It also marks the work's second highest rating yet, following its episode 12's 18.5%.

Despite that, the work remains the No. 1 weekend drama across cable channels, besting "Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938."

What To Expect From 'Doctor Cha' Finale

With only one week left, JTBC's "Doctor Cha" is predicted to wrap the work neatly with all loose ends resolved.

The penultimate episodes depicted Kim Byung Chul and Myung Se Bin's characters' guilt and wish to turn over a new leaf while Uhm Jung Hwa moves on, which hints at the work's possible ending.

Fans are expecting to see more of the younger generation's bond in the series including Lee Seo Yeon and So Ah Rin who had a falling out in its previous episodes despite being half-sisters.

Moreover, Seo Jung Min and Jo Ah Ram's chaotic romance is also expected to survive time's test to prove their sincerity for one another.
