Lee Do Hyun Enlistment Date Announced + To Join Air Force Military Band

Lee Do Hyun's enlistment date has been officially confirmed by his agency, Yuehua Entertainment.

Following the rumors surrounding the actor's military activities, the label has announced the date and the department where he will be performing his duties.

Lee Do Hyun Enlistment Details

In a report cited by a media outlet, Lee Do Hyun's enlistment will be on August 14.

According to the agency, "there will be no separate official event on the day of enlistment."

Moreover, the label asked fans to please refrain from visiting the location since it is a private event with soldiers and their families. 

On the other hand, as part of his military activities, "The Good Bad Mother" star will receive basic military training under national defense duties and will be part of the Air Force military band.

Lastly, Yuehua Entertainment asked fans for "warm support and encouragement for Lee Do Hyun" as he "fulfills his defense duties and return in good health."

Back in February 2023, rumors sparked that Lee Do Hyun was among the actors who would enlist this year.

At the time, JTBC News mentioned that he is finalizing his upcoming projects and plans to fulfill his duties in the first half of the year.

Following this, Lee Do Hyun's agency clarified the reports and said that "nothing has been decided."

Four months later, the actor confirmed that he would be enlisting in 2023.

Lee Do Hyun Reveals Why He is Excited for His Enlistment

In an interview with Top Star News, the South Kotrean hearthrob revealed that he had to turn down a casting offer because of his preparation for his enlistment.

"I've always wanted to go to the army, because I think there's more to learn when I enlist," he said, as obtained by an outlet, adding, "I couldn't learn anything on a personal level because I've been focusing on acting for the past 4-5 years."

In addition, Lee Do Hyun is also looking forward to developing and learning new things in the army. 

Due to this, fans expressed their worries since the actor is at the height of his career and enlisting might put his popularity on hold. 

To recall, the 27-year-old actor has starred in two hit K-dramas this year. 

First is "The Glory," where he was able to reprise his role in season 2. It was then followed by another blockbuster series "The Good Bad Mother" with Ran Mi Ran. 

However, Lee Do Hyun assures his fans that it is the perfect time for him to enter the military and gets excited for his enlistment. At the time, the actor said that he wanted to be a part of the Marine Corps and Special Forces.
