Nana Admits Removal of Tattoos — What Could Be the Reason?

Nana Appears in Jo Hyun Ah's Thursday Night Show

Nana is one of the most beautiful idol-actresses in the industry. After fulfilling her dream as a singer, she challenged herself to explore the field of acting.

Years later, she was able to establish and solidify her name in the acting realm.

In 2022, she shocked many after making a public appearance with tattoos all over her body. It was indeed a big surprise to her fans since Nana had suddenly gotten numerous tattoos covering her arms and legs. She even got criticized by some for her new look.

In June, the actress shared photos on Instagram, which sparked buzz online. It seemed like her tattoos were fading, causing people to wonder if she was already removing them.

On her guest appearance in "Jo Hyun Ah's Thursday Night" show, Nana finally opened up about this concern.

Nana Confirms Getting Rid of Her Body Tattoos

During the program, Jo Hyun Ah, the host, brought up the topic of Nana erasing her tattoos not long after getting them, saying, "You get into trouble by yourself. Getting those tattoos is painful."

Candidly, Nana said, "I'm removing them."

She continued to explain the reason she decided to remove them, "My mom carefully asked me and said she wants to see my clean body. She even permitted me to get the tattoos. So I thought there was no problem with getting them."

"Since she permitted me to get them so easily. I thought it was not that hard to get rid of them."

According to Nana, the reason she decided to get the tattoos in the first place was to express her emotions. The "Glitch" star shared that it was a mentally challenging time for her when she got the tattoos.

"I thought it was the only way I could express my emotion. Some people think I am dealing with emotion in an ignorant manner. But honestly, it was the only way to alleviate the emotion I had at that time."

As time passed by, Nana became better and comfortable in her own skin, and that was when her mom shared her thoughts.

Jo Hyun Ah Jokinlgy summarized the actress' reasons, "So in short, you got scolded by your mom so you're getting rid of them."

The actress laughed and agreed with what the host said. After her confession, fans shared their support to the actress on the comment section of the uploaded video on YouTube.

Meanwhile, Nana will have her small screen comeback through Netflix's series "Mask Girl."
