Nana Reveals Reason Why She Kept Her Screen Name

In 2009, Nana made her entertainment debut as a model and a member of the legendary idol group After School.

Born Im Jin Ah, the CEO of her company, PLEDIS Entertainment, decided to give her the stage name Nana.

The "Mask Girl" star told Esquire Korea that she hated the stage name at first as it reminded her of the Little Teletubbie character. Thankfully, it was well-received by the public.

Nana became one of the most famous Hallyu stars that possess goddess-like beauty and great physique not only in the domestic scene but also in the global market.

Even when she ventured into acting, she decided to keep the name. She reasoned, "It was the name that made me known and loved by my supporters."

The screen name became an important part of her identity. According to her, it doesn't make sense for her to change her name just because she's more active in the acting scene now.
