After the success of his action-fantasy series "Island," Kim Nam Gil is back with another thrilling project "Song of the Bandits" coming this September, which is already predicted to be Netflix's next global hit.

With its spectacular action scenes and an ensemble of actors, the upcoming drama "Song of the Bandits" is already making a buzz ahead of its release. 

A production presentation for the Netflix drama was held at the Ambassador Seoul Pullman Hotel in Jung Gu, Seoul on the morning of September 19.

Present at the event are the directors, Kim Nam Gil, SNSD's Seohyun, Yoo Jae Myung, Lee Hyun Wook, Lee Ho Jeong, Kim Do Yoon, Lee Jae Gyun, Cha Yeop, Cha Cheong Hwa, and Hwang Jun Hyuk.

'Song of the Bandits' to Showcase Combination of Western Genre & Asian Hero

"Song of the Bandits" is an action series about people who come together to protect their precious people and their home in Gando, a lawless land where Chinese and Japanese people from Joseon gathered in 1920. 

In particular, what adds to the enjoyment of viewing is the exquisite combination of the Western genre with the temporal and spatial background of Gando in the 1920s. Director Hwang Jun Hyuk said that it is a new genre of period drama that can deliver a new catharsis to viewers by combining the Western genre and an Asian hero. 

Aside from its rich narrative, the drama is also composed of brilliant actors and actresses who will showcase new, yet noteworthy performances as they bring their respective characters to life.

With its grand location, spellbinding action and fight scenes, and multi-talented actors, "Song of the Bandits" is already predicted to be Netflix's next hit K-Drama. The series is expected to attract a group of international viewers. 

As it will be released on the giant online streaming platform, Netflix, the cast and its creative heads are both pressured yet excited to showcase another masterpiece to the global audience. 

Furthermore, "Song of the Bandits" will exclusively be available on Netflix beginning September 22. The said series will have a total of nine episodes.
