Kim Hyo Jin Reminisces Heyday In New Drama ‘Castaway Diva’
The long wait for Kim Hyo Jin's drama comeback is over as she joins the romantic comedy drama "Castaway Diva" with Park Eun Bin.
In the series, she transforms into a diva who is now past her prime until she meets her No. 1 fan.
Through the drama, Kim Hyo Jin is expected to showcase her sound acting that she hasn't shown in her previous works before.
Kim Hyo Jin Plays Diva Past Her Prime In New Drama
On October 6, tvN's "Castaway Diva" dropped the first-ever stills of Kim Hyo Jin in her brand new acting role.
"Castaway Diva" tells the life of an aspiring singer who, on her way to Seoul for an audition, gets trapped in an uninhabited island for 15 long years.
Park Eun Bin transforms into Seo Mok Ha who dreams of becoming a diva. She gets stuck in a deserted island for 15 long years due to an unexpected incident.
After seeing Seoul's diva Yoon Ran Joo, Seo Mok Ha only dreamed of becoming a huge star like her, and wished to see her in person someday.
In the series, Yoon Ran Joo is played by Kim Hyo Jin who is known for her unrivaled singing skills, captivating beauty and unstoppable stardom.
However, after being in the limelight for many years, her popularity has waned that even her fans have gone extinct.
In the teasers, Yoon Ran Joo is seen enjoying the spotlight as she is guarded by her own personal butler and chauffeur. She is also dressed to the nines, showing off her charms.

Unfortunately, one photo shows the stark difference between the old and new Yoon Ran Joo as she now lives quietly in a rented apartment with no shining jewels in her messy pajama look.
Attention is given to Yoon Ran Joo who became the caveat for Seo Mok Ha to become a star, and why she fell down from her glorious time without warning.

Through "Castaway Diva," Kim Hyo Jin is expected to showcase her unrivaled charisma white also sending heartwarming cheers to the viewers as Yoon Ran Joo.
On the other hand, the drama marks her first ever return in 2023, following her participation in the second season of "The Good Detective."
Kim Hyo Jin also appeared in the melodrama "Lost" with veterans Ryu Jun Yeol, Jeon Do Yeon and Park Byung Hun in 2020.
