'Vigilante' Releases 3 Episodes at Busan International Film Festival

In celebration of the 28th Busan International Film Festival, "Vigilante," which received an invitation to the "On Screen" section, already released its first three episodes.

Actors who attended to represent the series are Lee Joon Hyuk, Yoo Ji Tae, and Kim So Jin, alongside Director Choi Jung Yeol. Nam Joo Hyuk, on the other hand, failed to join as he is fulfilling his military service.

"Vigilante" is based on a webtoon of the same name. This action-thriller series follows the story of Kim Ji Yong (Nam Joo Hyuk), a model police academy student by day who transforms into a dark hero at night who punishes criminals who break the law.

People who watched the special screening were pleased and showed enthusiastic cheers. The actors were surprised to hear the loud applause from the attendees.

Nam Joo Hyuk will headline the series. He took a break from playing that sweet and romantic lead and challenged himself in a dark hero role. It has been said that despite exploring something new, the actor perfectly portrayed dual roles in this project.

The series' director praised the lead actor for his strong immersion in his character. According to him, "I liked Nam Joo Hyuk's eyes. Before, I thought there was another meaning deep inside his eyes. And my prediction was correct, he was really Kim Ji Young himself."

Director Choi expressed his satisfaction with Nam Joo Hyuk's effective acting and was able to bring Kim Ji Young's character to life.

Furthermore, Nam Joo Hyuk's new role is receiving anticipation as viewers are curious about how the heartthrob expressed the deep inner pain of his character through actions. It has been said that the actor also did bloody and ruthless action scenes, which added to the audience's anticipation.

More Action Scenes for Nam Joo Hyuk?

The director spoiled that he focused on the action scenes because that's what made the original webtoon known. He elaborated that Kim Ji Young's actions depend on his opponents' behaviors. Aside from the thrilling action scenes, Nam Joo Hyuk also showcased his wide range of emotions which the director humbly shared and asked viewers to watch once the drama is finally available.

"Vigilante" is scheduled to hit the screen beginning November 8 on the online streaming platform Disney Plus.
