Hallyu star Myung Se Bin is coming back to the acting scene with the upcoming historical romance series "The Crown Prince Disappeared."

Earlier this year, the actress led the medical rom-com drama "Doctor Cha" to success alongside Uhm Jung Hwa and Kim Byung Chul.

Myung Se Bin To Play Queen Regent In New Drama

On November 17, JTBC News reported that Myung Se Bin is set to lead MBN's brand new drama "The Crown Prince Disappeared" (working title).

It's a historical rom-com drama that depicts the turbulent escape of a crown prince when he gets bossed around by the woman who becomes his queen.

In the series, Myung Se Bin plays the role of Min Soo Ryun, the matriarchal queen regent of Joseon who possesses great power and a huge secret.

The actress played a doctor and a mistress in the mega hit drama "Doctor Cha" earlier this 2023, and perfectly gave life to her character through her emotional and immersive acting.

As she received great traction for her award-winning performance, attention is focused on what kind of transformation she will show in MBN's "The Crown Prince Disappeared."

Myung Se Bin Reveals Views On Marriage

In the JTBC series "Doctor Cha," Myung Se Bin's character settled for being the second best as a cowardly man made her a side character in his story.

However, she doesn't let any man step on her and her dignity in real life. In an interview, Myung Se Bin revealed that she has undergone an egg freezing procedure in 2013.

According to her, she's open to remarrying and building a family in her 50s. She believes it's never too late for her and her dreams to rear a child.

At the moment, she's not seeing someone publicly, and is focused on her second heyday as an actress.
