Jung So Min, Jung Hae In Courted To Star in Romance Drama By 'Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha' Creators

Accordting to a media outlet on November 30, Jung So Min will appear in the forthcoming series "Mom's Friend's Son" (literal title).

On the same day, her agency, IEUM HASHTAG, responded to the news and confirmed that the drama is one of the projects that the actress received an offer for and she is currently reviewing it.

Earlier in November, it was reported that Jung Hae In is also in talks to play the male lead. If he accepts the offer, it will be his first-ever romantic-comedy genre drama since his debut.

Furthermore, the production aims to start filming as soon as the casting is complete.

Once Jung So Min confirmed her participation in "Mom's Friend's Son," it will be her next small screen comeback following "Alchemy of Souls."

The rom-com drama "Mom's Friend's Son" is about a woman trying to start a new beginning in life after experiencing a dark history.

The story unfolds between Bae Seok Ryu, who tries to restart her complicated life, and her mom's friend's son Choi Seung Hyo, who made a dark chapter in her life.

The creators of the "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha" director Yoo Je Won and writer Shin Ha Eun will join forces again to produce this series.

Jung So Min Amasses Global Popularity Through 'Love Reset'

Meanwhile, Jung So Min garnered global popularity with her latest hit movie "30 Days," also known as "Love Reset" alongside Kang Ha Neul. Their unexpected pairing brought laughter and love to the viewers in different parts of the world.

In fact, the movie broke records in Korea as one of the highest-grossing films this 2023.

Proving its ongoing popularity, "Love Reset" is already in talks to have international remakes, and Chinese is the adaptation to be put in production first, while the American version is still in discussion.
