Jung Il Woo Turns Into a Woman in His New Queer Play
On December 20, Red & Blue agency uploaded a poster of its upcoming theater play "Kiss of the Spider Woman" on its official social media account. They posted character posters that express the lonely emotions of the main protagonists, Molina and Valentin.
K-drama actor Jung Il Woo will challenge himself to introduce an interesting character on stage as he returns to theater in 2024.

Different from his previous roles as the strong, knight and shining armor lead, Jung Il Woo will play the character of Molina, she has romantic sensibilities and believes herself to be a woman. The character's wounds and loneliness are captured through his empty and longing eyes.
'Kiss of the Spider Woman' Returns to Stage After Six Years
Additionally, apart from Jung Il Woo, stars namely Jeon Park Chan and Lee Yul will also play the same role. The trio is expected to show off three different charms. Molina, who longs for her love, will be interpreted delicately.
Opposite her is the role of Valentin, a cool-headed anti-government man, who stands on his values and understands the people's different perspectives. It will be played by Park Jeong Bok, Cha Sun Woo, and Choi Seok Jin.
According to the source, this will be the fourth run of "Kiss of the Spider Woman," since it hit the Korean theater stage six years ago. The production handling the play commented, "We plan to present an even more upgraded stage with veteran creative staff."

Furthermore, "Kiss of the Spider Woman" is a queer genre and is based on the Argentine novel of the same name. It will be available beginning January 21, 2024, at the Yegreen Theater in Daehakro, Seoul.
Many fans and theater play goers are already looking forward to the return of "Kiss of the Spider Woman" on stage after six years. People are also anticipating Jung Il Woo's notable performance as a woman, which marks his stage comeback.
