Following Lee Sun Kyun's death, his wife's new movie "Mission: Cross," starring Jeon Hye Jin, has been postponed indefinitely.

As the family and the industry mourn the passing of the "Parasite" star, the upcoming movie faced sudden changes in its release date.

Jeon Hye Jin's Movie 'Mission: Cross' Delays Release Date

According to a media outlet, "Mission: Cross," which is Jeon Hye Jin's comeback movie, was halted in the wake of her husband's tragic death.

Initially scheduled for February 2024, the distributing company, Plus M Entertainment, reportedly changed the target premiere to give way to Jeon Hye Jin as she mourns the passing of her husband, Lee Sun Kyun.

As for the new release date, movie officials have yet to confirm the premiere date of the movie.

Jeon Hye Jin's movie "Mission: Cross" stars Hwang Jung Min as Kang Moo, who plays the role of a former special forces officer turned househusband.

He is married to Mi Sun, played by Yeom Jung Ah, who works as a violent crime detective. 

The plot thickens after Kang Moo, his husband, is hunted by his past after his wife becomes curious about his mysterious life.

In the upcoming movie, Jeon Hye Jin plays one of the main characters named Hee Joo, who is a former colleague of Kang Moo and works as a secret agent.

Joining the trio are Jung Man Shik, Kim Joo Heon, Cha Rae Hyung, Kim Chan Hyung, and Lee Ho Chul.

On the other hand, "Mission: Cross" is Jeon Hyue Jin's first movie in two years after joining as one of the lead stars in the 2022 film "Hunt" alongside director and actor Lee Jung Jae.

Moreover, this is one of her comeback projects since she returned to the industry.

Other than the upcoming film, the 47-year-old actress headlines the rom-com K-drama "Not Others," with SNSD's Sooyoung as her on-screen daughter.

The webtoon-based K-drama is her return to the small screen after the 2021 series "Uncle."

Jeon Hye Jin Reportedly Found Lee Sun Kyun's Suicide Note

On December 27, various outlets reported that the "Parasite" star was found dead in the parking lot.

Lee Sun Kyun's death was confirmed by Seoul Seongbuk Police Station after they found an unconscious man who was identified as the 48-year-old actor.

Prior to this, authorities received an emergency call from Jeon Hye Jin after she found what appeared to be a suicide note apologizing for the burden of the penalties for his endorsements due to the drug allegations.

Lee Sun Kyun was among the South Korean celebrities who are undergoing an investigation over illegal substance use.

During his third summons, the actor claimed that he was given a drug and thought it was a sleeping pill.
