Kdrama Stars Make International 100 Most Beautiful Faces List
Several kdrama stars made the "The 100 Most Beautiful Faces 2013" list. The list was created by the U.S.-based film review website IndependentCritics.com, which has named the top 100 beauties worldwide since 1999.
While the winner was French film star Marion Cotillard, 14 kdrama and kpop celebrities made the list.
Miss A's Suzy, who starred in "Gu Family Book" and "Dream High" reached 14th place on the list. The 19-year-old was one of the year's most popular kdrama actresses and, aside from her singing career, is also a top commercial model.
But she is not even the top k-celebrity on the list. Girls Generation's Taeyeon, whose acting career so far only consists of cameos in "Unstoppable Marriage" and "Salamander Guru and the Shadows," made it all the way to ninth place.
Girls Generation's Jessica Jung, who was last seen in the drama "Wild Romance," reached number 20 in the ranking.
Also making the list was actress Song Hye-Kyo who earlier this year starred in "That Winter The Wind Blows." She made 24th place.
Go Ara was next at 34 and so far it's her third year on the list. She currently appears in "Reply 1994" as Sung Na Jung.
Singer IU, who plays the ordinary girl Kim Bo Tong worshipping Jang Geun Suk's "Pretty Man" was rated as far better than ordinary, earning 39th place in the list.
Actress Jun Ji Hyun made 43rd place among the international celebrities. She plays the beautiful film star Chun Song Yi in "You Who Came From the Stars" and has a long list of films to her credit. She is known in the U.S. as Gianna Jun.
Girls Generation's Sooyoung, who played Gong Min Young in the drama "Dating Agency: Cyrano" made it to 66th place, while Yoona, currently starring in "The Prime Minister and I" only reached 74th place.
But Yoona does not have to feel bad about only getting to 71st place. A Chinese media source chose her as Asia's most beautiful woman. The Chinese entertainment site said that she got almost nine million votes just beating out fellow Girls Generation member Jessica Jung. Yoona easily beat out Chinese actresses and singers, as well as the popular Korean actress Park Shin Hye.
Rainbow's Go Woori, who appeared in the 2012 comedy "I Need A Fairy," was in the 94th spot, while her fellow band member Kim Jae Kyung took 75th position in the independent critics' list.
