Chinese singer-actor Huang Zitao publicly defended his wife, singer Xu Yiyang, during a recent livestream after a Douyin influencer asked him an inappropriate question about divorce.

During the broadcast, the influencer, known online as Didi, unexpectedly asked Huang, "Have you ever thought about divorcing your wife?" After a brief pause, she repeated the question.
Whereupon, Huang immediately buckled down, saying, "I've never thought about that. My wife is always the most beautiful to me. Please choose your words carefully."

The incident soon became a hot topic on China's social media, with netizens praising Huang for his calm yet firm reaction.
Many criticized Didi's question as inappropriate and labeled her a "green tea" — a slang term often used to describe someone perceived as manipulative or attention-seeking.
"She asked something completely out of line. Huang Zitao showed what it means to respect your partner," one Weibo user commented.
Huang went on to state that Xu Yiyang would not participate in "such inappropriate shows," further defending her privacy.
The pair, who confirmed their dating status in July 2024 after months of speculation, are a popular couple in the Chinese entertainment industry.
Their proposal aired during the finale of the variety show Dare or Not in August 2024.
They officially registered their marriage in December of that year and have a wedding planned for 2025.
Huang previously joked about inviting fans to the event via a lucky draw.
This is not the first time the former EXO member has made headlines for his outspoken nature.
However, the livestream incident has bolstered his image as a devoted husband and has sparked renewed discussion about boundaries in influencer-led media interactions.
