South Korean actress Son Tae-young has come out to dispel circulating malicious rumors regarding her marriage to fellow actor Kwon Sang-woo, which have branded them a so-called "show window couple."
As reported by TenAsia, Son voiced her complaint on October 11 in a YouTube video called "Son Tae-young: 'Please Stop...' Confession About Crossing the Line Rumors" on her channel Mrs. New Jersey Son Tae-young.
The actress, residing in the United States since 2020, complained about groundless rumors about her husband and family.

Describing what has become of her life after leaving the country, Son replied with a peaceful demeanor, "I've been on YouTube for two years. My son's school friends think I'm a YouTuber. They call me a 'YouTuber mom.'"
Son's friend told him during the call that he had heard new internet accusations. "When videos are uploaded, I search for them, and sometimes there are stories about your husband," said the friend.
"Recently, rumors like 'someone saw him, he's a goose father' have been circulating." The friend further stated that the IP address of the nasty commenter seemed to be the same person propagating lies over and over again.
Son replied resolutely, explaining how false information spread so quickly within the entertainment community. "When you hear celebrity rumors, it's always 'I heard from a friend of a friend,'" she said. "I have a set group of friends in the U.S. Who among them would speak ill of me? I have real friends."
She then advised her audience to cross-check information personally through her channel. "If you see such rumor posts, ignore them," Son said.
"Instead, leave a comment on my YouTube channel, and I'll answer sincerely. If you want the real facts, hear them from me." She further mentioned that she was contemplating having a live stream in order to personally clear up rumors.
According to the Maeil Business Newspaper, Son Tae-young moved to New Jersey in 2020 to concentrate on her children's studies, while Kwon Sang-woo still lives in South Korea because of his acting career.
Posting news of her son, Luke, Son boasted, "He joined a soccer club here after playing soccer since he was young in Korea. He's not aiming to become a professional player, but he loves the sport." She said Luke also likes playing the electric guitar but likes soccer better.
Son ended the video on a positive note, appealing to fans not to spread unsubstantiated gossip and to concentrate on proven facts.
