Actor Jang Geun Suk's Album Places 4th Worldwide In Sales

Actor Jang Geun Suk has produced remarkable success as a singer in his first regular album, released in Japan.

The album, titled 'Just Crazy', was released on the 13th and jumped to 4th on United World Chart, an international aggregate chart for album sales. The chart, which includes the US's Billboard 200, Britain's UK Chart, and Japan's Oricon Chart, calculates album sales from around 36 nations and posts the rankings.

Jang Geun Suk notched a key entry into the chart by placing 4th, nudging Iceland rock band Sigur Ros down to 5th. Currently in first place on the chart is singer-songwriter Adele, with American singer John Mayer in second and followed by British-Irish boy band One Direction.

Prior to breaking through on the United World Chart, Jang Geun Suk's album dominated the Japanese Oricon Chart by placing first in both the daily and weekly charts. With the release of his album Jang Geun Suk snapped the Japanese group Mr. Children's two-week streak on top of the charts, selling 88,000 copies without using special promotional activities.

Jang Geun Suk is set to embark on his Asia tour 'The Cri Show 2' in July, starting in Seoul and traveling through four major cities in Japan (Yokohama, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka), continuing through Shanghai, Shenzhen, Taiwan, and Thailand among others.
