Actress Ha Ji Won visited Vietnam to help children with facial deficiencies as the new International Smile Ambassador. Actress Ha Ji Won last week attended the Smile Gala, a charity event for children suffering with innate facial deficiencies. Last week she was appointed as the ambassador of the international non-governmental organization 'Operation Smile.' She supported the Operation Smile initiatives to operate surgeries for 500 Vietnamese children with facial deficiencies with 500 medical professionals. In Vietnam, Ha Ji Won delivered gifts and medical items to the children hospitalized for their upcoming surgeries. "One of the most beautiful things in the world is the children's laughter. I am so honored to be the International Smile Ambassador, and I hope I could be of help for the suffering children," Ha Ji Won said. In related news, 'Operation Smile' is an international medical non-governmental organization that provides surgeries to children with innate facial deficiencies free of charge. Actress Ha Ji Won is the first Asian woman who was selected to promote the organization, and a second celebrity to promote the organization after Jackie Chan.
