Lee Young Ae Appears in The New York Times

Actress Lee Young Ae's face was seen in the important news paper.

The actress was the model for an add that promotes Bibimbap, that professor Seo Kyung Duk from Sungsin Women's University printed in the news paper on February 3th, to promote the popular dish.

The ad that was printed on the 15th page of Section A, introduces the actress, who is dressed in a hanbok, with the title “BIBIMBAP? And talks the her wildly famous 2003 drama “Dae Jang Geum,” as well as the dish.

Professor Seo Kyung Duk commented about the ad he designed saying, “As Lee Young Ae was the star of ' Dae Jang Geum' that was watched by 3 billion people in over 90 countries, we thought she was the best option. I wanted to introduce bibimbap in a friendly way, and also I wanted to show the beauty of the hanbok.”

a spokesperson from the actress' side said, “As 'Dae Jang Geum' still airs in some parts of the world, she was glad to spread the Korean cuisine.”
