At the recent press conference for his upcoming drama "Orange Marmalade" actor Yeo Jin Goo was asked about his ideal type.

Although he will be part of a love triangle in the drama, featuring AOA's Seolhyun and CNBLUE's Lee Jong Hyun, the young actor admitted that he did not have much real-life experience with love.

"I'm still not that familiar with love," he said. "As I'm quite inexperienced myself, I think I'll be able to depict my character's innocence."

K-drama and k-movie lovers have watched Yeo Jin Goo grow up on screen. He began acting at age six in the film "Sad Movie" and had his first drama role a year later in the 2006 drama "I Want To Love." He has played young characters in love before, notably the young Kim Soo Hyun in "The Moon Embracing the Sun" and the young Park Yoo Chun in "Missing You." In both those roles he convincingly portrayed young innocent love torn by tragedy.

After having his first kiss in the drama "Potato Star 2013QR3," the 17-year-old is ready for more romantic roles of his own. In "Orange Marmalade" he plays a popular high school student in love with a vampire. The drama is set in a world where no-longer-dangerous vampires mingle with humans but are considered second-class citizens.

At the drama's press conference the young actor was asked what qualities he might be looking for in a real-life girlfriend. He said he was more concerned with a girl's personality than the way she looked.

"Looks-wise, I'm still looking for my ideal type," he said. "As for the personality, I personally fall more on the introverted side, so I would like her to be a cheerful person with aegyo and someone who laughs a lot. My ideal girlfriend would lift my mood whenever we are together."

The comments of his co-star Seolhyun might help lift his spirits. When she was asked to choose which co-star came closer to her ideal type, she chose Yeo Jin Goo over CNBLUE's Lee Jong Hyun.

"I like both of them," she said. "But I can't choose a married man, so Yeo Jin Goo is my ideal type."

Lee Jong Hyun is not married in real life but appears on the romantic reality show "We Got Married" with Gong Seung Yeon.

"Orange Marmalade" begins on May 15 but Yeo Jin Goo is already making plans to follow that drama role with an action movie 'Dokgo." Yeo will play a boy who seeks revenge on the bullies that killed his brother.
