The avant-garde ensemble film, "The Beauty Inside," will premiere for audiences in the United States and Canada on September 11. Well Go USA Entertainment, the company that was recently responsible for bringing "Assassination" to North America is responsible for its distribution.
Adapted from a 2012 American social commentary film, "The Beauty Inside" stars Han Hyo Joo as Yi Soo, a young woman who loves Woo Jin, a man who is plagued by his ability to appear like different people. When he wakes up each morning, Woo Jin has the appearance of another person, regardless of their gender or nationality.
More than 20 talented actors and actresses appear in the role of Woo Jin including Park Shin Hye, Park Seo Joon, Lee Jin Wook, Seo Kang Joon and Lee Dong Wook. While each actor receives small segments of screen time, the film provides an opportunity to watch the interaction several high-profile stars.
The film serves as the latest project for Park Shin Hye, who recently signed onto the highly anticipated 2016 film, "Hyung" Park will appear alongside EXO's D.O. (Do Kyung Soo) and Jo Jung Suk in the upcoming film. She will reunite with "Miracle in Cell No. 7" writer, Yoo Young Ah, for the project.
As of September 9, "The Beauty Inside" grossed $12.1 million USD in domestic ticket sales. The film was a breakout hit at 2015 Cannes Film Festival, where it secured distribution to 11 countries throughout Asia.
"The Beauty Inside" opens at select theaters in North American cities including New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C. and Toronto. Locations and showtimes can be found on the website for Well Go USA Entertainment.
