The said gossip started spreading in online communities, claiming that the actor is involved in a romantic relationship with a lawyer. Since the rumors spread within the circles of lawyers, the girl's identity was automatically divulged, and her personal information revealed through the social media circle.

Meanwhile, on June 11, Song Joong Ki's agency, History D&C, debunked the rumor. The company announced through an official statement that there is no truth to the dating speculation of their talent Song Joong Ki.

"Song Joong Ki's dating rumors aren't true. There have been baseless rumors spreading within the legal industry, but after checking, it was not true," the agency said.

The agency added that Song Joong Ki currently has a hectic schedule. Recently, he stepped down from his role in the biopic "Season You and Me."

"Bogota" is his current project that was part of his schedule adjustments. The said film was being filmed in Colombia but was postponed until further notice because of the coronavirus pandemic, making the cast and crew return to South Korea.

Song Joong Ki's upcoming movie "Space Sweepers" is scheduled to open in theaters this summer.

Song Joong Ki was born on September 19, 1985. He became well-known for his role in the period drama, "Sungkyunkwan Scandal," released in 2010. Song Joong Ki then portrayed different characters and roles in television series, namely "The Innocent Man" (2012), "Descendants of the Sun" (2016), and "Arthdal Chronicles" (2019). He also starred in box office hits "A Werewolf Boy" (2012) and "The Battleship Island" (2017).

In 2017, Song Joong Ki was given the Gallup Korea's Actor of the Year award. Then he was listed in the Forbes Korea Power Celebrity list in 2013 placing in the seventh place and then ranked second in 2017, and eighth in 2018.

Song Joong Ki and "Descendants of the Sun" co-star Song Hye Kyo tied the knot on a private occasion on October 31, 2017, in Seoul, celebrating the ceremony with family members and close acquaintances. After less than two years, the two divorced in July of 2019.
