Korean media outlets released a report on March 15 stating that actor Park Ho San is gearing up to join "The Penthouse 2" filming. Following this news, Lighthouse Entertainment, the actor's agency, issued their response stating that the drama's production company indeed offered Park Ho San to be part of the cast in "The Penthouse 2". However, as of the moment, the agency couldn't confirm his appearance in the drama due to a conflict in the actor's working schedule.

The agency added, as we all know, the drama is loved by many viewers, so Park Ho San is positively considering the casting offer and is currently making some arrangements with details of his schedule.
If Park Ho San decides to accept the casting offer, he will be portraying the character of Yoo Dong Pil. He is the husband of Kang Ma Ri (Shin Eun Kyung) and the father of Yoo Jenny (Jin Ji Hee). Yoo Dong pil will plot revenge against the antagonist Joo Dan Tae (Uhm Ki Joon) on behalf of his family.

Previously, there were reports released that actor Heo Sung Tae was offered to star as Yoo Dong Pil's character. However, Heo Sung Tae's agency announced that the actor declined the offer.

"The Penthouse" is a K-drama that revolves its story on the rich and powerful residents of an elite apartment called "Hera Palace." The residents in this building all have their own dark secrets, and their children are no better. The drama stars famous actresses, namely: Lee Ji Ah as Su Ryeon, known as the "QUEEN" of the penthouse apartment, Kim So Yeon starring as Cheon Seo Jin, the famous soprano singer who is ruthless.
