"The World of the Married" star Shim Eun Woo set the record straight as she finally addressed accusations towards her.

For weeks, the 28-year-old actress has been hounded by online hate and criticisms for being linked to a bullying scandal.

After being in hot water, she broke her silence and released an official statement to speak about the harassment issues.

In her social media post, she began by admitting her wrongdoings and apologized to her former classmate "who was hurt" by her "immature attitude."

Upon learning the controversy, the "Love Scene Number" actress tried to reach out to the individual but only managed to speak to one of her family members.

Unfortunately, the alleged victim refused to communicate and meet her in person.

"However, as the issue received media attention, things began to snowball, and due to intensifying emotions, I was not able to meet with the individual [who wrote the post]," Shim Eun Woo Instagram caption reads.

Wanting to clear the air between her and her former classmate, the "Diary of a Prosecutor" actress requested again to meet the alleged victim. Luckily, she was able to speak with her alongside Shim Eun Woo's agency, SH Media Corp.

During their conversation, the actress reflected on her behavior and learned that her classmate still "harbors deep emotional wounds" towards her.

"I realized that the words and actions I thoughtlessly directed at someone when I was young could remain with that person for a long time as wounds, and I spent time deeply worrying about the life I have lived up until now and my present-day self," she added.

With this, she expressed her sincerest apology and vowed to "endlessly look back" at herself as she tries to be a better person.

In addition, Shim Eun Woo also apologized to her fellow actors and those who were involved with her current project.

The actress is set to star in JTBC's new drama "Fly High Butterfly" alongside Choi Daniel and Oh Yoon Ah.

Shim Eun Woo Accused of Bullying

The "The World of the Married" actress is among the celebrities being targeted by harassment allegations after a former classmate from Bukpyeong Girls' Middle School claimed that she was bullied by Shim Eun Woo, who was then known as Park So Ri.

In an online community post, the accuser mentioned she had experienced social ostracism and psychological bullying from the actress.

Moreover, the former classmate pointed out that Shim Eun Woo was a well-known school bully at the time, to which her agency all denied.

Shim Eun Woo Agency Claps Back at Bullying Allegations

SH Media Corp released a statement saying that they have confirmed that their talent was "an upright student" and has never been involved in any misconduct.

However, they have been looking into the situation and asked fans to avoid spreading malicious statements and false posts online.

"The agency is actively monitoring the situation and plans to take strong action against the spreading of false rumors, lies, and false information."
