‘Run On’ Actress Shin Se Kyung Officially Ends Her Contract with Namoo Actors after 19 Years + Agency Still Open for Possible Renewal?
Shin Se Kyung is expected to become a free agent after ending her contract with Namoo Actors.
In a report cited by SPOTV News, the "Run On" actress' exclusive contract with the talent agency will officially expire this May 20.
The 30-year-old actress has been with the agency for 19 years and is considered one of Namoo Actors' brightest stars, alongside Song Kang, Park Min Young, and SNSD's Seohyun.
Reason Behind Shin Se Kyung's Decision Not Renew Her Contract - Revealed!
According to the publication, the "The Bride of Habaek" star has carefully thought about this huge step for a long time. Unfortunately, she has decided not to push through with her contract renewal.
Apparently, one of Shin Se Kyung's reasons for exiting the agency was she felt the need to have a new environment, given that she's been with Namoo Actors for almost two decades.
"She seems to have stayed in one place for a long time and felt the need for a new environment and change," a representative from the management revealed to the publication.
Namoo Actors Reacts to Shin Se Kyung's Exit
On the other hand, Namoo Actors react to the actress' move to officially exit the talent agency.
In a statement, an official from the management said that they are still discussing things with the "Black Knight: The Man Who Guards Me" star.
"We are positively discussing renewing our contract with Shin Se Kyung."

How did Shin Se Kyung Start in Showbiz?
From being a child star to now one of the rising leading ladies in Korean dramas, Shin Se Kyung managed to capture the hearts of fans with her undeniable beauty and superb acting skills.
She first appeared in Seo Taiji's 1998 music video "Take Five" when she was about eight years old.
It was followed by her first acting gig after appearing as one of the casts of the MBC's children's TV series "Ppo Ppo Ppo," together with Big Bang's G-Dragon and spent most of her early years in showbiz hosting children shows.
Shin Ye Kyung landed a big break in the 2009 sitcom "High Kick Through the Roof," where she played the role of a housemaid.
Following her breakthrough performance, she scored several major roles in the film, including the 2011 "Hindsight," followed by "Soar Into the Sun," and "Tazza: The Hidden Card."
As for her dramas, the 30-year-old actress landed her first-ever award after winning the Excellent Actress in the 2011 SBS Drama Awards with her performance in "Tree With Deep Roots."
In 2010, she was also nominated as Best News Actress at the 46th Baeksang Arts Awards but lost to fellow "High Kick! 2" star Hwang Jung Eum.

Aside from Shin Ye Kyung dramas and movies, the former child star has a successful Youtube Channel, which she launched in September 2018.
