Now, he is slowly building his name in the industry by showing the viewers his broad acting spectrum and passion for the craft.

In his recent interview with a local outlet, the "She Knows Everything" actor shared his thoughts on the characters he portrays and how he prepares for his role.

The up-and-coming actor mentioned that he feels "attracted to active and independent" roles instead of the passive characters.

"I like people who solve cases on their own and are honest in expressing their emotions. I think I'm drawn to characters who move independently," he explained.

Aside from his on-screen romance with Kang Ha Na, Kim Do Wan also captivated the public's attention when he played the role of the nerdy software engineer Kim Yong San in the mega-hit K-drama, "Start-Up."

However, there are instances when he has to mingle with the senior actors and reveals feeling terrified that he has to do better on the set.

"I mainly worked with actors my age. It was my first time working with seniors, so it was difficult and frightening. I also thought, 'I have to do better. At first, I was nervous and frozen, but as the tension gradually eased, I was having fun filming."

Speaking of senior actors, Kim Do Wan was asked about the celebrities that served as his role models.

The 26-year-old actor gets candid and mentions the names of Lee Byung Hun and Cho Seung Woo.

He explained that every time they appear on screen, the audience could "feel something new every time."

"Cho Seung Woo's movies "Marathon," "Tazza," Lee Byung Hun's movies "Inside Men" and "Into the World" are completely different in personality and charm," he mentioned adding that just like these versatile actors, he wants to portray a different character in every drama he stars.

"I want to portray a person of 180 degrees different personality perfectly and constantly challenge things I haven't done," the up-and-coming actor added.

Cho Seung Woo recently appeared in the sci-fi Kdrama "Sisyphus: The Myth" opposite Park Shin Hye.
