On September 24, tvN held its first script reading for the new drama, which drew attention with the unique and fresh casting of actors Im Soo Jung and Lee Do Hyun, who will lead the newest drama.

The 43-year-old actress Im Soo Jung is set to return to the small screen in the second half of the year 2021 with 26-year-old heartthrob Lee Do Hyun with tvN's newest romance drama "Melancholia".
Im Soo Jung will take on the role of the math teacher Ji Yoon Soo. She is good-natured and nurturing, but Yoon Soo also has a strong personality.
Opposite Lee Do Hyun who will be portraying the role of math wizard Baek Seung Yoo. A young quiet man who enjoys taking pictures in his leisure time.
The new drama is set in a prestigious private school located in the high-end city of Gangnam, which became a breeding ground for scandalous rumors, sexual scandals, infamous corruption, and plain havoc.

On September 24, tvN held the new drama's first script reading, which stole attention with the interesting combination of Im Soo Jung and Lee Do Hyun.
Other cast members as well as "Melancholia" director Kim Sang Hyuk and screenwriter Kim Ji Woon also attended the reading.
During the script reading, Im Soo Jung, who will take on the role of Ji Yoon Soo, expresses her pure passion towards her character, who is full of passion to teach Mathematics.

The series is slated to air in November, which will occupy the 10:30 p.m. KST drama time slot every Wednesday and Thursday.
"Melancholia" will also be available for worldwide streaming on iQIYI.
