KBS Postpones ‘Dear. M’ Broadcast ‘Indefinitely’ as Park Hye Soo’s Controversy Continues
After being embroiled in controversy back in 2021, Park Hye Soo's Kdrama "Dear.M" is halted "indefinitely," as cited by KBS.
In a report noted by Star News, the broadcast network continues to put on hold the broadcast of youth romance series.

‘Dear. M’ Premiere Date Postponed Due to Park Hye Soo’s Ongoing School Bullying Controversy
A representative from KBS explained that it is difficult to reschedule the programming given that the controversy is still ongoing and will wait for the final investigation before setting a schedule for the Kdrama's broadcast date.
"For now, it seems that programming will be difficult in the first half of this year. I think we will be able to discuss the formation only after the police investigation results come out."
With this, KBS has decided to "postpone the formation of "Dear. M" indefinitely."
Initially, the youth romance series was set to debut on February 26, 2021, but got delayed after lead star Park Hye Soo was accused of school violence.
What Happened with Park Hye Soo's Kdrama' Dear.M'?
It came after the actress was criticized online for being a perpetrator of school bullying, noting that the said female celebrity is a "popular actress who has a pure image" had physically assaulted them in school.
The "Introverted Boss" star and her agency, Studio Santa Claus Entertainment, immediately denied the allegations and said they are planning to take legal actions against malicious commenters who have been spreading "groundless speculation, and criticisms" towards them Park Hye Soo.
Moreover, they have confirmed that the post contains "false information aimed to malicious slander" the actress.
Meanwhile, the South Korean star bravely answered the allegations and shared a note which she posted on her Instagram.
She denied the accusations and said she was also a victim of school bullying.
It came after Park Hye Soo became a target of harassment after moving to a different neighborhood during eighth grade.
"Because I was a year older than my schoolmates and because I studied in the U.S., malicious rumors about me started spreading," she said, adding that she used to get "obscene messages and sexually harassing comments every morning."

KBS Replaced' Dear. M' Timeslot with 'Imitation'
As for the broadcast network, KBS responded to the public's petition, pointing out that the 27-year-old actress must be removed from the drama.
At the time, the network's chief producer Cho Hyun Ah released a statement noting that the KBS "has postponed the airing of the series, and has decided to objectively monitor the process."
Because of the delay of the "Dear.M" broadcast, the webtoon-based series "Imitation" starring Jeong Ji So, Lee Jun Young and more was aired to fill the time slot assigned initially for Park Hye Soo's Kdrama.
