Park Seo Joon on Starring in 2 Variety Shows

While Park Seo Joon is gearing up for his K-drama and movie comeback, he is entertaining fans through his two variety shows this 2022. Viewers get to see the different side of the actor as he joined the cast of "In The Soop: Friendcation" and "Young Actors' Retreat."

During his interview with Elle Korea, the 33-year-old star shared that he both enjoyed starring in two variety shows.

After watching "In The Soop: Friendcation," he mentioned that it reminded him of his past vacation with friends.

As for "Young Actors' Retreat" he watched it from a viewer's perspective and said that he laughed all the time.

"In The Soop: Friendcation" debuted in July where Park Seo Joon is joined by his celebrity friends BTS' V, Peakboy, Park Hyung Sik, and Choi Woo Shik also known as the Wooga Squad.

Meanwhile, "Young Actors' Retreat" includes cast members of "Itaewon," "Love in the Moonlight" and "Soundtrack #1."

Why Park Seo Joon Chose 'Our Beloved Summer' as the K-drama That 'Moved' Him

As the interview continues, Park Seo Joon discusses his busy schedule, filming a new K-drama and movie.

However, the actor said that he recently watched the rom-com "Our Beloved Summer," starring Choi Woo Shik and Kim Da Mi, who was also Park Seo Joon's co-star in "Itaewon Class."

He described "Our Beloved Summer" as one that was the most moving K-dramas he watched. As obtained by an outlet, the actor explained:

"The characters in the project feel like they could exist in real life and I think touching projects where I can empathize with the emotions are the most moving."

The SBS rom-com series premiered from December 2021 until January 2022 and gained a lot of positive responses from the viewers, especially Choi Woo Shik and Kim Da Mi's onscreen chemistry.

How Park Seo Joon Thinks About Being Dubbed the 'Icon of Youth'

Apart from joining Elle Korea's The Icons together with Gong Yoo, G-Dragon, BLACKPINK's Jennie, Lee Sung Kyung, and Kim Go Eun, Park Seo Joon is also considered an "icon of youth."

For the actor, he said that he used to hear the term a lot when describing him. However, he gets honest and said that he feels embarrassed being called an "icon of youth.

Interestingly, Park Seo Joon wanted people to see him as an "icon of maturity." He explained:

"If youth is a period you eventually have to pass, I now want to become an icon of maturity."

The 33-year-old star will have his comeback both in movies and small screen.

After "Itaewon Class" Park Seo Joon will headline an upcoming action thriller series "Gyeongseong Creature," also known as "K Project" with Han So Hee.

In addition, he will also team up with IU for the sports-themed movie "Dream."
