TV Chosun's family melodrama "Red Balloon" takes a break from broadcast this week!

Starring Seo Ji Hye, Lee Sung Jae, Hong Soo Hyun and Lee Sang Woo, "Red Balloon" tells the stories of people who seek redemption after failing numerous times in their lives.

On January 20, the drama announced that it will take a one week break from airing, much to fans' disappointment.

Earlier this month, the series finally reached its halfway mark with episode 10, which aired on Sunday, January 15.

In particular, the last episode of "Red Balloon" recorded an average rating of 7.7% nationwide, which marks the drama's best score yet.

A representative from the production unit reasoned, "We will take a short break this week to ensure the quality of the production. We promise to meet the viewers next week with an improved caliber of drama."

With this, "Red Balloon" episodes 11 and 12 which were supposed to air on January 21 and 22, will instead be broadcasted on January 28 and 29, consecutively.

What To Expect From Seo Ji Hye's 'Red Balloon' Episodes 11 & 12

In the previous episode, Jo Eun Kang, played by Seo Ji Hye, surprised viewers with her revelation: her desire for Go Cha Won, played by Lee Sang Woo, who's the husband of her own best friend.

She then sets up an intricate plan to cause misunderstanding between Go Cha Won and Han Ba Da, played by Hong Soo Hyun.

After successfully seducing the former, the series rises to its highest rating yet; indicating the popularity of the series. In the forthcoming episodes, "Red Balloon" will depict the aftermath of Jo Eun Kang's impulsive decision.

It will also showcase how infidelity affects Go Cha Won and Han Ba Da's relationship, as well as Jo Eun Kang and Han Ba Da's friendship. Moreover, the drama is expected to draw greater reviews and scores with its forthcoming episodes.
