‘Physical: 100’ Contestants Reveal Interesting Details How They Joined the Netflix Survival Show

Although "Physical: 100" is facing various controversies, there's no denying that the Netflix survival game is among the hottest TV shows this 2023. From making it to the streaming giant's top 10 global TV shows to trending topics online, the 9-episode program didn't disappoint viewers in delivering top-notch quests in every episode.

Apart from the grueling challenges, the "Physical: 100" contestants were truly the main highlight of the show.

'Physical: 100' Cast Reveals How They Joined the Netflix Show

Some of the cast members appeared in W Korea, where they spoke about their experience at the survival-reality show. Titled "5 letters from 10 cast of Physical: 100 by W Korea," it featured Jo Jin Hyeong, professional wrestler Jang Eun Sil, Kim Jeong Yoon, YouTuber Shim Euddeum, "Physical: 100" winner Woo Jin Young, National Luger Park Jin Young, CrossFitter Hwang Bit Yeol, wrestler Park Min Ji, Kim Min Cheol, and park Jung Hyuk

One of the questions asked to the participants was their reaction after being scouted by the show. 

For Park Jung Hyuk, he considered as a once in a lifetime opportunity. But as for Park Jin Young and Hwang Bit Yeol, they initially thought it was a fraud. However, he realized that the call was real after Netflix gave him a number for his feedback.

In addition, Park Jin Young decided to give it a try not just for the cash prize but to introduce his sports to a greater audience.

Meanwhile, the goddess of the sand Park Min Ji's Instagram was set private, and knew about the casting through her teammates. She said she "asked my teammates multiple times to check" if it was really her that Netflix wanted for the show.

Shim Euddeum Shares Process of Filming 'Physical: 100'

During the interview with W Korea, YouTuber, and fitness enthusiast Shim Euddeum spoke about her experience other than the tough challenges. She said that one of the hardest parts of the show was the waiting time.

As seen on the show, some of the challenges were divided into different groups. While the groups were doing the challenges, some of the cast members had to spend time in the designated waiting area.

She also revealed that she would get out of the house at 6:00 a.m. for the shoot and would comeback 6:00 a.m. the following day.

'Physical: 100' Contestants Express Admiration to Choo Sung Hoon

When asked who among the participants they admired the most, majority of them said Choo Sung Hoon's name. The legendary MMA fighter is also one of the fan-favorites on the show.

Jang Eun Sil described him as a legendary player who stunned everyone during his arrival on the show.

On the other hand, "Physcial: 100" winner Woo Jin Young said he is a fan of the MMA fighter and joined Sung Hoon's team because of it.

Moreover, he also sees him as a childhood role model
