"Physical: 100" producers address claims regarding the controversy of the competition's final round.

Amid the success of the Netflix survival reality show, the 9-part episode competition faced various controversies including the alleged manipulation.

According to a media outlet, the show's producers released the raw footage featuring the final match to prove that there was no cheating involved.

'Physical: 100' Director Defended Woo Jin Yong

At the press conference, "Physical: 100" Director Jang Ho Gi emphasized that "there was no manipulation of the results."

However, he confirmed that the last round was halted twice but pointed out that "Physical: 100" winner Woo Jin Yong had no involvement in it.

"An unexpected noise problem occurred and the production team officially requested a halt due to safety issues for the contestants," he said, adding "It is not true that Woo requested the first game to be stopped by raising his hand."

In the same outlet, it states that the unedited video featured "a huge, frictional noise" from the rope and would go on for 9 minutes.

With this, the production team had no choice but to intervene because it will affect the audio's quality.

"We didn't want to stop the game and interfere but the level of noise reached a point where we deemed that we could not use the recording and that this could be an indicator of a potential accident," the director explained.

Unfortunately, another accident happened as Woo Jin Yong's rope got twisted before stopping completely.

The director then mentioned that based on their judgment, the action "was unrelated to the performers' talent" hence they "requested" to halt the game immediately.

Jung Hae Min's Manipulation Claims to Woo Jin Yong's Response to Alleged Manipulation

Before the show's director reveal the raw footages, in hopes of resolving the misunderstandings, professional cyclist Jung Hae Min broke his silence and claimed that the final round was manipulated.

He mentioned that his opponent, Woo Jin Yong requested to halt the round due to faulty equipment, and was briefly postponed for the second time because of audio issues.

At the time, he also requested Netflix to release the raw footage of the final match, which the show did.

On the other hand, Woo Jin Yong responded to the claims and denied that he requested to stop the game.
