Yoo Yeon Seok Officially Files ‘Defamation’ Complaint Against Individual Who Posted ‘Disrespectful Behavior’ Story

Yoo Yeon Seok officially submitted a complaint regarding the false accusation made by the uploader claiming that the actor disrespected a security guard.

The "Hospital Playlist" star is the latest celebrity who got caught up with negative allegations after an individual accused him of disrespecting a security guard. With this, Yoo Yeon Seok is taking things to the authorities.

Following the claims, Star News reported that Yoo Yeon Seok's agency, King Kong by Starship, has submitted complaints to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency.

Yoo Yeon Seok Files Defamation Complaint

As obtained by the news portal, the actor's camp filed defamation for publishing false information on the internet.

To recall, the label announced they will take legal action against the individual for spreading malicious rumors online. At the time, King Kong by Starship said that after confirming with the actor, they'd found out that the "rumor is completely untrue."

With this, the agency said that they are looking into filing a criminal charge of defamation.

In addition, Yoo Yeon Seok's agency pointed out that they will be taking "strong legal action" and have already hired legal counsel to deal with this.

The news comes after an online user posted a message accusing the actor of disrespecting a security guard, which happens to be the uploader's father. Moreover, the incident reportedly happened at the building where the actor resides.

Netizen Alleges Yoo Yeon Seok's Rude Behavior

Based on the post, obtained by Korea Times, the uploader said that the security guard saw the actor along with his friends who were getting ready to ride a bike.

He tried to talk to Yoo Yeon Seok and asked him if he owned one of the bicycles, but the actor reportedly answered, "Would I ride that crappy bicycle? You think that's mine?" as he pointed his finger to the security guard.

The post also says that the father quit his job due to the humiliation and insults he experienced from the actor.

However, following the agency's warning, the uploader withdrew the claims and said that it was out of "jealousy" since Yoo Yeon Seok "has been getting popular and appearing in more reality shows."

The user apologized to the actor and said that he "didn't expect this to get so big."
