Fans Bid Goodbye To Ong Seong Wu As He Enlists Today
On April 17, bittersweet emotions were elicited from Ong Seong Wu's fans as the idol-actor enlisted in the military.
Ong Seong Wu's agency didn't announce his military enlist beforehand to keep the event private. Earlier this month, Ong Seong Wu shaved his head which surprised his fans.
He greeted the public through a live broadcast on his YouTube channel to explain the situation as well as express his gratitude to everyone who supported him from the beginning.
In return, many fans complimented the "20th Century Girl" actor's new hairstyle, boosting his self-esteem. He said, "Shaving my head really opened my eyes to the real thing. I feel much stronger now."
When asked about his enlistment, Ong Seong Wu confessed that he feels worried for his fans but excited for what the new milestone has to offer for him.
At the end of the YouTube live broadcast, he promised to return safely as a reliable model and artist, making fans cry and proud at the same time.
Fantagio Entertainment, the artist's agency, stated that Ong Seong Wu will join the military camp as an active duty soldier.

Ong Seong Wu didn't leave his fans hanging as his brand new projects "Starlight Falls" and "Strong Woman Gang Nam Soon" are slated to air within the year!
The idol-actor makes his silver screen debut with the romance film "Starlight Falls," which depicts the romance between three students who meet through fate and destiny.
Ong Seong Wu works together with Esom and Shim Eun Kyung for the first time in the series. Currently, the film is in its final production process.
Meanwhile, he will also headline the rom-com series "Strong Woman Gang Nam Soon" with Lee Yoo Mi and Byun Woo Seok. It's a direct sequel to the 2017 smash hit drama led by Park Bo Young and Park Hyung Sik.
Although the exact premiere dates haven't been announced yet, both works will air within 2023 so stay tuned for more updates!
